Summer Camp - Hosts.

Come and work with us as a host at Summer Camp 2024!


This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our small team this July and August.


We are looking for a small team of enthusiastic and hard-working people with can-do attitudes and preferably previous experience in customer facing hospitality roles. 


This is a paid job, working from mid July to Mid August. This will involve the build and break of the event as well as working the actual event weekend. We offer 3 meals a day during working days and can offer simple and shared accommodation if required.


This is perfect for anyone interested in any hospitality, event management or project management roles.

More about each role is below, but all roles will include additional jobs to ensure Summer Camp runs smoothly.

  • Setting up, managing and running the bar.

  • Stock count after each weekend and providing order information.

  • Working with the team to bring each workshop, dinner and activities to life. 

  • Customer service and management.

  • Helping with the build and break. Within this you’ll be helping with the interior set up of bell tents and glamping tents, and general decoration of the site. 

  • Helping with change over days - preparing tents before welcoming the new guests.

  • Cleaning including the bathrooms and showers.

  • General ‘hands on’ help before, during and after the event.

  • You will have down time and will be able to get involved with workshops and swim in the lake.


Summer Camp - Chefs.

Summer Camp - Bar Lead and Host

This position will manage and run the bar during each weekend of Summer Camp. The bar becomes the focal point for the weekend, where guests can come for a chat, get a drink and ask any questions. This year we want to elevate that experience and give them the best quality drinks and service. This role will be customer focused and a strong knowledge of drinks and bar service will be required. We always encourage creativity and would like the successful candidate to take ownership of this side of Summer Camp.

As we are a small team at Summer Camp, this role will be varied and everyone will be required to get stuck across all of the events from the build, to cleaning, to changing the sheets, to supporting customers and workshop leaders. All of our staff need to be enthusiastic and willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in at all times. 

Bar lead specific role:

  • Setting up, managing and running the bar.

  • Stock management.

  • Training any additional staff who work with you.

  • Clean down the bar after a shift.


Bar lead specific role requirements:

  • Bar experience

  • Knowledge of drinks


Summer Camp - Front Of House Lead and Host

This position will manage and run the front of house service for each weekend of Summer Camp. This is a general host role with a focus on service. 

This includes the breakfast service each morning, which guests pay for, and is served from our outdoor kitchen. It also includes the evening feast which is included in each guest's ticket. This is a real highlight of each day and brings in incredible chefs. This role will be key in bringing this to life, elevating the service to suit the incredible food being served and give everyone a truly memorable experience.

This role will be customer focused and a strong knowledge of service standards will be required. We always encourage creativity throughout a role and would like the successful candidate to take ownership of this side of Summer Camp. This role will be responsible for leading a small team of additional staff who will help on service.

As we are a small team at Summer Camp, this role will be varied and everyone will be required to get stuck across all of the events from the build, to cleaning, to changing the sheets. All of our staff need to be enthusiastic and willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in at all times. 

FOH lead specific role:

  • Setting up for each food service.

  • Running food service.

  • Stock management.

  • Training any additional staff who work with you.

  • Clean down after dinner and set up for the morning

FOH lead specific role requirements:

  • Experience in front of the house


Workshop Lead and Host

This role will be responsible for ensuring each workshop throughout the weekend is set up correctly and the hosts have everything they need. This will include both customer service with guests but also managing the line up of entertainment running the workshops. This is a diverse role as we run workshops in a wide variety of areas such as food or drinks tasting to wood whittling to sign writing. 

As we are a small team at Summer Camp, this role will be varied and everyone will be required to get stuck in across all of the events from the build, to cleaning, to changing the sheets. All of our staff need to be enthusiastic and willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in at all times.

Workshop lead role:

  • Prior to each weekend ensuring all equipment/materials are on site for each workshop over the weekend.

  • Setting up for each workshop and clearing after each one.

  • Workshop with all workshop leaders across the weekends.

  • Stock management for any consumables/materials used.

  • Training any additional staff who work with you.

Workshop lead specific role requirements:

  • Previous experience in working in an event environment beneficial.
